I would like to say me but it seems Duke Norris usually wins if i play him. Of coarse he always plays the same map and on his server so that does give him a slight advantage. At any rate the top 2 players i have ran across so far Duke Norris, Waffle bug. Have only seem Wafflebug a few times and he never talks. Usually by the time i notice he is playing he wins and he is gone before i can get my game face on. But no doubt one of the best i have seen. Puzzles me that the group of players and servers is so small ......are there servers not listed or is DNF just not that popular? I fear by summer DNF will be lost in the sands of time with the rest of the good FPS's

Wish they had a real CTF, i  dont like the girl flappin her hand in my face and i want to be able to use a real gun when i have the flag.... (girl) whatever....wish they had some options!!!

You are definitely one of the strongest players I have played against. Essentially anyone that was big into DN3D as well. Dysuka is a strong ass player too. I tend to have my rounds but am fairly inconsistent IMO.

I can't exactly remember the name but I remember a few guys with 300 ping coming in and mopping the floor with everyone too.

Thanks - I have a lot of practice, Dysuka is very good, some other guy that starts with a B is really good but forget his name.

I originally thought that only servers in a players area or country would show up in their list, but there are people playing with high pings so maybe there just is a very small playerbase. If they release mod/mapping tools the game will live on, but it's just hard to tell how long it will last. I am hopping for a map editor, I want to create some of the maps I did for DN3D.

I havent played dn3d for years I need check that out. I was wanting to set up about 5 or 6 pc's in my basement and run some old games but dn3d wasnt on the list as i never remember palying it with the mouse. But i think it was you that told me you can, i played it with friends over modem and local games but that was back before cable modems and i was just a keyboarder at the time. Didnt take long for me to get schooled once online with quake.........i switched to mouse and keyboard quick.

Just fyi have you seen the prices on hp dl360's - rack servers we use them at work.  we recently had an issue with one and picked up a few spares on ebay and surprisngly to me You can get a dual xeon 3.4 with 10k rpm scsi drives ....4 to 8 gig of ram for less than 100. I wonder if we would have better results with equipment like that. At any rate Cheap....but on the down side kinda loud and might heat up a room.

No need to setup a LAN, most of the games can be played over the net. People still play DN3D all the time and the game itself is still being actively developed. (Poly engines too) Multiplayer is intense. Shadow warrior is also a favorite of mine, lo wang is a badass. As far as the server goes that would be cool to have a little mini-rack, maybe in the future. I love xeons.

LoL I remember playing against "keyboarders"  Grin

It does work with Win7. Install the game, then download the different ports. (xDuke, etc - they are what is used to play most of the time now)

You can then download the meltdown and yang client to start playing vs. other people. No updates or anything really.

Could is be bretE? He always gives me a hard time. Nekron is also good, bastard beats me every round. Another good player is Robotron, or something like that, but I haven't seen him in awhile. I don't think I have played Duke Norris or Waffle Bug.

Of course gag is very good too. I think last time we played a few weeks back you were beating me every round.

Good rounds tonight. JJ Vega$ and Jamison are all pretty good as well. It's really all about adapting to your opponent.

Yep, competitive games are always better. I get bored when I'm dominating a game. And then I usually end up getting accused of using hacks. What is it with players that can't accept that someone might actually be good at this game and not cheating?

Yeah, Educator, I've played several games with JJ and Vega$ lately and they are pretty good. And Jack O Jamison has improved tons from several months ago. I think he said he got a new gaming chair and that's what did it...lol, got to get me one of those chairs!
